April is for Alchemy
Artists know thyself 🫴✨️ the "sustainable 7” are our first prompts for April is for Alchemy 2025.
Time as represented by Saturn, the ancient alchemists viewed this planet as a sun that never was. And so is the starting place of the Creative spirit.

From the unrefined matter we will evolve into our lighter self as we climb towards the Sun. The Sun represented the Ultimate Divine light as much as actual source of life in our solar system.
It is the foundation of reality. It is the foundation of your art and art practice. Your relationship with this Archetype impacts everything.
So …reinforce this valued dialogue between you and your Time on your Subconscious.
Try one of these together help you explore Time.
● make time for art today, 2 min or 2 hrs. Find the time and create.
● Create a collage based on images that help you reflect on Time. I share mine above.
●Journal/ brainstorm set a timer or don't. Free associate all the ideas that come to life in your imagination when you think about time.
The Ladder of Planets forms the Sustainable Seven. Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, The Moon and The Sun represented 7 stages of a growth mindset. Each planet has a polarizing effect that we learn as we experience, we repeat this cycle on a daily, monthly yearly basis. If we feel lost we can go inward and ask were we are at. Our response gives us strength through the self esteem and a place to focus and build a positive perspective to step forward with.

Welcome to Running with Rainbows, my name is Maja Larson and I am from Oakbank Manitoba Canada! I am a self taught Multi media Artist who enjoys making & teaching art online and in person.
Maja enjoys mixing her own archival paints using plant-based acrylic medium and plant-based watercolor binders, then layering together paint permanent markers, Posca pens, and metallic paint pens.
